Top 10 Indian Web Series

India has no dearth of talent or people (cheers to the second most populous country on the map!) and with the advent of low budget, high availability productions, Indians took it upon themselves to showcase their seriously comedic side through some brilliant web-series.

Yes, that blue thing is a train.

Here are my top 5 picks for the best Indian web-series that you should watch right away!

5. Bad Indian:

The story of the life (the ups and downs, well mostly the downs :)) of an Indian-origin American girl living in modern America. A hilarious six episode web-series best accompanied with a burger (It's a series reference).

4. Bang Baaja Baaraat:

An absolutely hilarious tale of two families with very different values and a mental wedding. I actually considered taking Combiflam to reduce body ache because this web-series had me laughing so hard, I legitimately fell off my chair!

3. Man's World:

Ever imagined a world where the traditionalists called men the "weaker" sex? A laughter fest that follows the story of a man who wishes upon a star to change the power of the sexes and the result is a tragically funny web-series that has you laughing to the pits while leaving behind a subtly loud message, reverberating through your mind.

2. Alisha:

While I initially assumed it would be an Indian version of Lana Steele, I was plenty shocked when I actually started watching the series. It was fresh, quirky and definitely highly engaging. In fact it is so addicting that after finishing all the episodes up to date, I did a series marathon 5 (yes five!!!) times! The story of a fashion student, falsely accused and expelled from a prestigious Fashion Institute in the U.S. returns to India as a fashion detective and delivers a stylish web-series that is every Indian girl's dream.

(This one is bilingual (tamil/english) and took me some time to get used to the subtitiles but once I did, it was amazing! Plus, it improved my reading speed :D)

AND MY NUMBER 1 PICK FOR BEST INDIAN WEB-SERIES IS:

1. TVF Pitchers:

"When any Indian has had enough of their 9 to 5 jobs, they have 3 options: Do an MBA, IAS, or begin a startup."

This is hands down the best Indian web-series! Heck, it might even be one of THE BEST web-series ever! I genuinely loved it and although I am not at that stage of my life yet, I could completely relate to the whole series. It was heartrendingly funny and is a must watch for every Indian with the 'Great Indian Dream'.
